How Can We Help?

Welcome to Pony Partnerships CIC

At Pony Partnerships, we provide a unique and flexible therapeutic environment that supports individuals to explore and enhance their wellbeing.

We recognise that traditional, room-based therapy—often involving face-to-face interaction—may not feel accessible or comfortable for everyone. Our nature-based, equine-assisted approach offers an alternative: one that is grounded in relationship, movement, and creativity. Sessions may take place outdoors, while walking, engaging with animals, or in quiet spaces with less pressure to maintain eye contact or sit still.

We are a neurodivergence-affirming, trauma-informed practice. Some members of our team are neurodivergent themselves, and all staff are committed to working in ways that reduce anxiety and celebrate difference. We actively work to be anti-ableist, anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and welcoming to all—challenging discrimination in all its forms.

Individualised Support

Therapy at Pony Partnerships is shaped around the person—not the other way around. We collaborate with clients to create therapeutic experiences that are meaningful and safe for them. Relationships are central to our work: relationships with trusted adults, with animals, and with the natural environment.

Our practitioners are experienced in supporting a wide range of mental health needs and emotional difficulties. We also specialise in working with:

  • Autistic individuals
  • Those experiencing situational/environmental non-speaking
  • People with ADHD, PDA, or other neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Clients experiencing eating difficulties or disordered eating
  • School attendance difficulties and emotionally based school avoidance
  • Grief, bereavement, and loss
  • Complex trauma

We support children, young people, and adults.

What to Expect

If you’re interested in exploring support with us:

  • Initial Contact: Email us to arrange a free 20-minute phone or video call to discuss your needs and ask any questions.
  • Assessment: You’ll be offered an assessment session (online or in person) with our Clinical Lead, Danielle, to explore how we can best support you.
  • Meet & Greet: Once a suitable therapist is identified, we’ll offer a free 30-minute meet-and-greet session to introduce you to your therapist and, if applicable, to the animal team. This is a chance to see whether it feels like a good fit before starting regular sessions.
